Session I: Bogor Goals and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation
This session will cover two issues. Firstly, after taking stock of APEC's achievements in promoting trade and investment liberalization, the panel will discuss whether APEC could reach the Bogor Goals by 2020. Secondly, the panel will discuss how to set a clear goal of FTAAP by 2020 and beyond, giving full consideration to the status quo of the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation, the situation in 2020, and the role that the region is supposed to play in promoting multilateral trade process.

Session V: The Role and Positioning of FTAAP
Based on the thorough discussion of various mega-FTAs, this section will mainly discuss the importance of promoting Asia-Pacific economic integration after 2020 when the Bogor Goals are supposed to be accomplished and explore from the global and long-term development perspectives the rationale for Pan-Asia-Pacific free trade arrangement, and identify  the right approach that the various parties are supposed to take toward the building of FTAAP.
