2. Conference Registration

All delegates attending the conference must complete the Registration Form and return the same to the PECC International Secretariat by 11 April 2016. 3. Hotel Venue Information

a) Jakarta Post has reserved a block of rooms at The Dharmawangsa and other hotels at special conference rates. The rooms will be held for PECC delegates until 11 April 2016, after which rooms which have not been guaranteed will be released. The special group rates will continue to be extended to PECC delegates after this date but room categories will be subject to availability.

c) Check-in time for all PECC delegates is 2:00 p.m. and check-out time is at 12:00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Check-out from 6:00 p.m. will automatically incur a full night charge at the room rate quoted.

d) Payment Method: Delegates are responsible for paying their room charges, taxes and incidentals.

4. Reconfirmation of Return Flights

Flights may be reconfirmed via the Hotel.

5. Visa

Visitors from most countries are required to have a visa to enter Indonesia.

For visits of less than 30 days, visitors from the following countries are permitted to enter Indonesia without a visa: Brunei, Chile, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. On arrival, citizens from the above countries will be issued a 30-day entry permit which may be extended for a further 30 days.

Visitors from the following countries will be issued a 30-day visa on arrival for USD$25.00:
Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, the People's Republic of China, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Timor Leste, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
Visitors from countries not included in either of the above lists should apply for a visa from their nearest Indonesian embassy or consulate prior to leaving for Indonesia.

6. Transportation from Airport to Hotel

The distance between the Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the hotels are as follows:
From airport to The Dharmawangsa Jakarta: 33.3 km.
From airport to The 101 Jakarta Sedayu: 32.6 km.
From airport to the Grand Kemang: 33.9 km.
From airport to the Hotel GranDhika: 32.1 km.

The estimated time from Airport to Hotel is approximately 1-2 hours depending on traffic conditions.
Several Taxi companies operate at the Jakarta airport, including Blue Bird, Silver Bird, Golden Bird and Gamya.

Taxis are the most convenient means of transport in Jakarta. Licensed taxis are equipped with meters. The charges for the Blue Bird is around 7,500 rupiahs for the first km and after that each km is 4,000 rupiahs. As for Silver Bird aproximately 13,000 – 17,000 for the first km and after that each km is between 7,000 – 9,000 depends on the type of car (Camry, Mercedes or Alphard).

Tourists are advised not to use the unlicensed taxis which are private cars that ply the streets.

7. Distance between Designated Hotels

8. Financial Arrangements

Delegates will be responsible for all individual expenses, except for hosted meals. Major credit cards accepted by the hotel include Visa, Amex and MasterCard. Cash machines with 24 hour access are available in many convenient locations throughout Jakarta.

9. Climate

Located on the equator, Indonesia has a tropical climate. The temperatures range in Jakarta in April is from 23°C – 33°C. Some rainfall may occur.

10. Time

Central Indonesia (Java and Jakarta) time is 12 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (13 hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time).

11. Electrical Appliances

Indonesia's standard electricity supply is usually 220 volts AC with a frequency of 50 hertz, although 110 volts is still used in some areas. Conversion to 230 V is in progress throughout the country. For other equipment a transformer or adaptor is required unless the appliance has a multi-voltage option
Indonesia uses the power plug type of 2-pin, 220 volts / 50Hz, similar to Australia and European countries. So depending where you are from, you may need a converter to a 2-pin head.

12. Currency Exchange Rate and Regulations

The Indonesian currency is called the rupiah (Rp). Notes come in the following denominations: Rp 1,000; Rp 5,000; Rp 10,000; Rp 20,000; Rp 50,000, and Rp 100,000.
Banks throughout Indonesia can handle foreign currency exchange, and there are plenty of independent money changers as well in the tourist areas. Some provincial banks will not cash traveler's checks.

Credit cards are accepted in most international hotels and there is a network of bank ATMs across the country with Cirrus-Maestro connections.

13. Insurance

It is strongly recommended that each participant make his/her own arrangements for any necessary insurance coverage.

14. Medical

There are a few modern, well equipped clinics and hospitals in Jakarta that are considered adequate for minor illnesses.

In the event of illness or emergency, the following clinics and hospitals are among those frequented by expatriates in Jakarta.

15. Telecommunications

When travelling throughout Indonesia, the options for cellphones are widely used. In terms of cellphone service in Indonesia, there are eleven carriers with GSM and CDMA technologies. Out of eleven carriers, three GSM carriers – Telkomsel, Indosat and XL – provide solid coverage across the country. The good thing about using cell services in Indonesia is that the service can easily subscribed and cheaper. It is also worth noting that the prepaid SIM cards are easily purchased at many stores and kiosks.

16. Liability

The organizers shall not be held liable for personal accidents or losses, or damage to personal property of the registered participants in the meeting. Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.

17. Dress Code

The dress code for all meetings and social functions is Business Attire.

18. Language

The national language of Bahasa Indonesia is spoken all over Indonesia. In addition to local language, English is widely spoken and understood in Jakarta by most business people although much less so in other cities. Most of the better hotels have English speaking staff, as do the shopping centres that cater to expatriates.
