The 7th PECC International Trade and Investment Fair took place on 28 May to 1 June at the Tianjin Meijiang Exhibition & Convention Center. The co-organizers for the event were China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin Sub-Council, the China Chamber of International Commerce, Tianjin Chamber of Commerce, Tianjin World Trade Center Association.

The opening ceremony was followed by a forum where Mr Ren Xuefeng, Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, Mr Dong Songgen, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, and Mr Li Rongcan, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Commerce delivered opening remarks.

The fair featured exhibits from Tianjin's biggest companies and multinationals operating in the area including CSR who are building mass transit systems, Bohai Oilfields, CASC - China's global positioning system, Airbus, Walmart and many others. The fair also included a special fair on attracting talent to the Tianjin region 

An international forum on China’s “Going Global Strategy and Policy” featured presentations on:

• Deepening the Reform of ODI Control to Facilitate the Going Out Drive
  Sun Lujun, Director of Capital Account Management Department, State Administration of Foreign Exchange
  Peng Ning, Vice Director of International Taxation Department, State Administration of Taxtation

  James Zimmerman, Honorary Chairman of American Chamber of Commerce China

• Risk Control for ODI
  Martin Miller, General Manager of Commerzbank Tianjin Branch

• Support Chinese Enterprises in Doing Business Abroad with the Resources of CCPIT
  Jia Huai, Vice Director General of Economic Information Department, CCPIT
